LOCAL ATTRACTIONS


Many places to eat lunch or dinner in Wellington.  You can choose from a family restaurant, a coffee shop, or a diner.   


There is a grocery store across the street as well as another a little further.


Findley State Park is 2 miles away from our B&B for camping, swimming, hiking, fishing, or bird watching.

Lorain County Fair grounds is in Wellington.  This is just one mile from our Bed & Breakfast.  Here you can watch fireworks, attend the Steam Engine Show, watch races, go to craft shows and of course attend the Lorain County Fair.

There are parades throughout the year in Wellington.  You might even see the "Spirit of '76" in the flesh.

Wellington's was the "Cheese Capital of the Americas" during the 19th century.

Wellington also has the "Spirit of '76" Museum displaying many objects including works by Archibold Willard who painted the
"Spirit of '76" which depicts a fife and drummers from the Revolutionary War. 

If you are into antiques, check out Addie's Antiques, within walking distance from our B&B.

Another store close by is Things Unique.


There is a quilt shop very close by also.

There is a church for almost every denomination, also many within walking distance from our accommodations.

The Herrick Memorial Library is on the square next to the Town Hall. 

There are lots of interesting architectural buildings in town.  There are brochures showing walking tours (you could drive, but walking lets you look longer and notice more).

On any given day, you might even see an Amish buggy go past from your bedroom window.

Of course, you can just sit on the front porch on in the Sun Room and enjoy!

Only 9 miles away is Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio.
